Dr Parveen Kumar

After moving to Australia from India in 2009, Dr Kumar has worked in various hospitals across WA. He finished his General Surgery training and became a fellow of the Royal Australasian College of Surgeons in 2021. He completed one year in Surgical Oncology (Peritonectomy) under Prof Paul Moroz, Director of Western Australia Peritonectomy Services and then two years of post fellowship training in Upper GI and Bariatrics at Joondalup Health Campus, performing hundreds of surgeries every year. During his time as a fellow, he had the opportunity to work with the Colorectal Unit and has been involved in hundreds of laparoscopic and open colon cancer and diverticular disease surgeries.

Treating patients with obesity (providing a range of bariatric operations - sleeve gastrectomy, single anastomosis bypass, roux en gastric bypass, SADI-S and gastric balloo. Laparoscopic hiatal hernia, laparoscopic colorectal surgery and other general surgery. Accredited by GESA and CCRTGE to perform Endoscopy and Colonoscopy.
