Dr Paul Cullen

Dr Cullen graduated from the University of Sydney with a Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery with Honours Class II in 1996. He completed his basic medical training and RANZCP Psychiatry Fellowship in the Sydney West Area Health Service. He subsequently went on to complete the college advanced training in Psychiatry of Old Age, gaining experience within this sub-specialty in a variety of inpatient and community-based settings, including domestic visits and residential facilities.

Previous consultant posts include Staff Specialist Psychiatrist at Blacktown Hospital (in Community-Liaison Psychiatry and Aged Care Psychiatry), Visiting Medical Officer with the Hornsby-Kuring-gai Community Aged Care Psychiatry team, and private consulting work at Norwest Private Hospital.

He has an interest in the education and supervision of junior medical staff. Previous posts include Site Co-ordinator of Registrar Training (Blacktown Hospital), Chair of Education and Training Group (Sydney West Aged Care Psychiatry Service), and RANZCP college-accredited supervisor of medical students, psychiatry trainees, and geriatric medicine advanced trainees.

His private practice is at Mt Wilga Private Hospital and also consults at Berkeley Vale Private Hospital.
