About
Dr. Grolman completed undergraduate medical training in 1991 at the University of Witwatersrand (South Africa), before specialising in Internal Medicine at Johannesburg Hospital (South Africa).
Dr. Grolman obtained his Fellowship with the South African College of Medicine in 2000. Thereafter he worked in the private sector in Johannesburg before migrating to Australia in 2007. In Australia, he completed further training in Intensive Care, obtaining a Fellowship with the Australian College of Intensive Care Medicine in 2011.
Dr. Grolman currently works at Joondalup Health Campus as a Consultant in General Medicine and Intesive Care. Dr. Grolman holds a Clinical Lecturer Position in General Medicine at the University of Western Australia.
Dr. Grolman has specialist interest in the following:
- Obesity Management.
- Finding and treating serious co-morbidities in the morbidly obese.
- Medical management of acutely unwell patients in the hospital setting.
- Management of sepsis and antibiotic therapy.
- Peri-operative Care.
- Mangement of cardiovascular risk factors including hypertension, diabetes mellitus and hypercholesterolaemia.
