About
Dr. Paul Hitchen is an Orthopaedic Surgeon with an interest shoulder surgery. His expertise is in rotator cuff disorders and impingement pain. He performs arthroscopic rotator cuff repair and arthroscopic shoulder decompression for tears, injury and chronic shoulder pain. Paul has been a medical practitioner for more than 30 years with over 20 years experience as an Orthopaedic surgeon and is a Fellow of the Australian Orthopaedic Association.
He participates in 'no or known gap billing' with most major health funds. He has extensive experience in management of orthopaedic WorkCover injuries.
He practices in the Sutherland Shire and enjoys surfing in his free time. He has been a regular visitor to the Solomon Islands undertaking operating and teaching through Orthopaedic Outreach (www.orthoreach.org.au), the humanitarian arm of the AOA.
