Clinical Practice
Dr Payam (Max) Majedi is a Specialist Physician in Anaesthesia and Pain Medicine (MBBS, FANZCA, FFPMANZCA), practising at both Sir Charles Gairdner Hospital and Hollywood Private Hospital. His clinical work includes peri-operative care and regional anaesthesia, as well as the assessment and management of patients with acute and persistent pain. Dr Majedi participates in multidisciplinary pain management, including the use of spinal cord stimulation and intrathecal pump therapies, limited to baclofen therapy and movement disorders. He also performs a full range of interventional pain medicine procedures where clinically indicated. His practice is guided by current evidence, collaboration with referring clinicians, and a focus on patient-centred care.
Background and Training
Dr Majedi completed his medical degree at the University of Adelaide in 1995. He obtained Fellowship of the Australian and New Zealand College of Anaesthetists (FANZCA) in 2004, followed by Fellowship of the Faculty of Pain Medicine (FFPMANZCA) in 2006. His training encompasses anaesthesia, peri-operative medicine, and subspecialty pain medicine across public and private hospital settings.
Clinical Focus
Dr Majedi’s clinical focus includes acute pain management, peri-operative care and regional anaesthesia. He is involved in multidisciplinary pain care incorporating spinal cord stimulation and intrathecal pump therapies (for baclofen and movement disorders only), as well as interventional pain medicine procedures. Care is tailored to individual patient needs and delivered in collaboration with surgical, medical, and allied health colleagues.
