Dr Gifford currently holds the position of Deputy Director at Princess Alexandra Public Hospital and treats patients at Greenslopes and Mater Private Hospitals.
Interests include:
- Sporting and overuse injuries of the knee
- Knee replacement surgery
- Hip replacement surgery
- Lower limb trauma
Dr Gifford encourages close collaboration in a patient’s care between all health professionals. He is happy to speak with physicians to offer pre-referral advice, answer any specific clinical queries you have, or assist with an urgent consultation for your patient.
Education
Dr Peter Gifford graduated Medicine from the University of Queensland in 2007 and completed surgical training in Orthopaedics in Queensland. He undertook sub-specialty training in sports knee surgery in London in 2016, and further hip and knee reconstruction and arthroplasty surgery in 2017.
