Dr Pia Iacovella

Dr Iacovella is an accredited supervisor for the Royal Australasian College of Physicians and is actively involved in registrar training at both Basic and Advanced training levels and is committed to quality care and preservation of autonomy and independence of the aging patient in this ever changing and challenging landscape.

Dr Iacovella has inpatient and outpatient commitment to St Vincent’s Brisbane and Greenslopes Private Hospital (with active participation in on call roster). Dr Iacovella has private geriatric and general medicine clinics at Greenslopes Private Hospital and a specialist Memory Clinic presence (The Memory Clinic Brisbane) at St Vincent’s Link Consulting Rooms, Kangaroo Point.

Dr Iacovella is the Geriatrician for the Healthy Ageing Programme, Mater Public Adult Hospital – an innovative programme aimed at preventing deconditioning in community dwelling elderly people admitted with an acute illness.In addition, Dr Iacovella is the Director of Medicine and Chairman of the Medical Advisory Committee, St Vincent’s Brisbane with supervision of advanced geriatric trainees and both public and private geriatric educations and management of patients.
