Dr Rajesh Thomas is a Specialist Respiratory and Sleep Medicine Physician with expertise in lung cancer, interventional bronchoscopy and pleural diseases. His main focus is in the treatment of diseases of the pleura, such as pleural effusions and mesothelioma, the diagnosis and management of lung cancer, from a nodule on chest x-ray to known disease and advanced interventional bronchoscopy, including stents, pulmonary valves and endobronchial ultrasound.

He is a clinical lead for the Lung Cancer, Interventional Bronchoscopy, and Pleural services at SCGH and chair of the Lung Cancer multi-disciplinary meeting. His research interests include novel bronchoscopic interventions to diagnose/treat lung cancer and complex airways diseases and indwelling pleural catheter treatment in pleural cancers.
