About
Dr Ambett is an Otolarynogology, Head and Neck Surgery (ENT) Consultant in Victoria, Australia. She is a Fellow of the Royal Australian College of Surgeons and a member of the Australasian Society of Otolaryngology Head and Neck Surgery.
She completed her advanced training in Otolaryngology, Head and Neck Surgery with honours, topping her class as best ENT postgraduate and recognised for her postgraduate thesis. She has a clinical focus in otology (surgery on the ear) and paediatric surgery.
Dr Ambett has completed 2 advanced fellowship training in Perth and further developed her expertise in hearing rehabilitation surgery in leading hospitals in Switzerland and Germany.
She has published more than 20 scientific papers and has won the prestigious Oticon foundation for her research, participating as investigator in national and international multicentre clinical trials, and publishing patents in hearing implant technologies.
Dr Ambett brings a depth of clinical experience and a thoughtful, patient-centred approach to the management of ear and hearing disorders. She has a longstanding commitment to improving access to hearing care globally, having contributed to international initiatives including consulting work with the World Health Organization in Geneva and supporting the establishment of otology and hearing implant services in underserved communities in the Middle East and the Americas.
In addition to her clinical focus, Dr Ambett provides comprehensive care across a broad range of adult and paediatric ENT conditions, with particular interest in paediatric ENT, minimally invasive approaches to nasal, sinus and snoring disorders.
