Dr Robert Foster

Dr Robert Foster graduated in 2003 from The University of London. He moved to Australia in 2005 and undertook specialist training at The John Hunter Hospital Newcastle and St.Vincent’s Hospital, Sydney. He has been a Staff Specialist at the John Hunter Hospital since 2013 with a particular interest in Inflammatory Bowel disease and advanced endoscopy.

Dr Foster has been a key member in developing the public open access service across the Lower Hunter region and principle investigator on several clinical trials. He is actively involved in medical education at all levels from undergraduate to specialists and GPs, and including Crohn’s and Colitis Australia patient seminars.
