Dr Rohan Nair

Waverley Private Hospital is pleased to introduce Dr Rohan Nair who is committed to providing evidence-based and patient-centred cancer care. His honest and engaging approach to communication with his patients and their loved ones ensures that they are well-informed throughout all stages of their care.

 

Rohan completed a Bachelor of Medicine, Bachelor of Surgery (BMBS) at the University of Dundee in Scotland, United Kingdom and undertook specialist radiation oncology training in Victoria, Australia. He completed a radiation oncology SABR clinical and research fellowship at Alfred Health and worked as a consultant radiation oncology at Icon Cancer Centre Gosford and Gosford Hospital from 2016-2017. With a strong interest in clinical trials, research and medical education, Rohan led the development of the Gippsland Radiation Oncology stereotactic program in collaboration with Alfred Health. During his tenure at La Trobe Regional Hospital in Gippsland, Rohan was the Director of Training and Radiation Oncology Research Operations Clinical Representative as well as chair and deputy
chair of several multidisciplinary care teams.

He has been recently accepted to the Radiation Oncology Training Accreditation Working Group at the Faculty of Radiation Oncology of the Royal
Australian and New Zealand College of Radiologists (RANZCR) and serves as a member of the Clinical Executive Committee of Cancer Council Victoria.
