Dr Ruchi Singh

Mitcham Private Hospital would like to introduce you to Dr Ruchi Singh, obstetrican and gynaecologist.

Following undergraduate training in medicine, Dr Singh developed a keen interest in Women’s Health and consequently completed graduate training in obstetrics and gynaecology, obtained a Masters degree in obstetrics & gynaecology in India and gained membership with the RCOG, UK. Dr Singh moved to Australia and obtained a Fellowship of RANZCOG in 2009.

During training Ruchi noticed the preponderance of pelvic floor disorders in the population, hence pursued this area of specialisation by joining the formal subspecialty training program in uro-gynaecology and pelvic reconstructive surgery at the Royal Women’s Hospital.

Ruchi is a consultant in the Pelvic floor unit at the Royal Women’s Hospital and Box Hill Hospital. She practices Obstetrics in the public system and is involved in training of young doctors and academic research.

Ruchi enjoys working in multidisciplinary teams and also has given lectures in the University of Melbourne to physiotherapists. She has presented at international conferences and recently won a best oral presentation award.

Ruchi operates regularly at Mitcham Private Hospital and Francis Perry House, caring for women with pelvic floor dysfunction, prolapse, urinary incontinence as well as general gynaecological disorders.
