Dr Sanji Wasgewatta

Sanji currently works as a Respiratory and a Sleep Medicine Specialist at Monash Lung and Sleep and holds an honorary position at Monash University. She is an accredited physician at Warringal Private Hospital in Heidelberg and practices peri-operative medicine and general medicine.

Sanji has completed her basic physician training at Austin Hospital in Melbourne. She underwent training in Respiratory and Sleep Medicine at Western Health and Monash Health in Melbourne and in Royal Darwin Hospital to obtain fellowship of the Royal Australasian College of Physicians (FRACP).

She likes all facets of respiratory and sleep medicine with subspecialty interests in bronchiectasis, asthma and sleep disorders. She is currently involved in sleep research at Monash University and Monash Lung and Sleep.

She is a member of the Thoracic Society of Australia and New Zealand, American Thoracic Society and Australasian Sleep Association.
