Dr Sara Ng

Dr Sara Ng is a consultant haematologist who completed her medical degree at The University of Sydney. She became a Fellow of the Royal Australasian College of Physicians and the Royal College of Pathologists Australasia after completing her training at Liverpool and Prince of Wales Hospitals. She subsequently undertook a fellowship in Thrombosis medicine at the Ottawa Hospital Research Institute/The University of Ottawa, Canada.

Dr Ng has experience in treating both malignant and general haematological issues but has specific clinical and research interests in thrombosis and bleeding disorders. She was awarded a grant through the International Society of Thrombosis and Haemostasis (ISTH) Training Fellowship Program to collaborate with international clinicians focusing on women with bleeding disorders.  Her current projects include research in cancer-associated thrombosis, haematological issues in women’s health and outcomes in venous thromboembolic (VTE) disease. Her previous projects in coagulation and transfusion medicine remain active at Liverpool Hospital.
