Dr Sarah O'Neill

Clinical Practice

Dr Sarah O’Neill is a consultant urologist providing comprehensive care across general urology and complex kidney surgery. She holds a public appointment at Sir Charles Gairdner Hospital and consults and operates privately at Hollywood Private Hospital. Dr O’Neill is committed to evidence-based practice and regularly participates in continuing medical education, professional conferences, and teaching. She is actively involved in the education and mentorship of medical students from Western Australian medical schools, as well as urology trainees. 

 

Background and Training

Dr O’Neill grew up in Western Australia and completed her medical degree at the University of Western Australia in 2010. After graduating, she gained broad clinical experience working across Victoria, Tasmania, and Western Australia before commencing specialist training in urology. She completed her FRACS (Urology) in 2020 following a fellowship in general and robotic urology at University Hospital Geelong. Seeking advanced sub-specialist training, Dr O’Neill undertook a Royal College of Surgeons England–accredited Robotic Oncology Fellowship in renal cancer at Frimley Park Hospital (Frimley Renal Cancer Centre), where she trained with high-volume retroperitoneal robotic kidney surgeons. She also served as an honorary fellow in open renal surgery at the Royal Marsden Hospital in London. Her advanced training in both Australia and the United Kingdom positions her to offer patients high-quality, contemporary urological care.
