About
Dr Shannon Cooper is a General Surgeon who manages a range of benign and malignant breast conditions and offers a full range of oncoplastic breast surgical procedures including breast conserving surgery, therapeutic mammoplasty and breast reconstruction surgery. He is a full member of BreastSurg ANZ. He also manages melanoma and general surgical conditions as well as being a GESA certified endoscopist.
After completing general surgical training he undertook subspecialized training in breast surgery, undertaking an accredited two-year fellowship with BreastSurgANZ followed by a further year of fellowship in oncoplastic reconstructive breast surgery and melanoma surgery at the Calvary Mater Hospital in Newcastle.
Dr Cooper operates regularly at Lake Macquarie Private and provides on-call surgical support for patients presenting to our Emergency Department.
