About

For Dr Siming Lu, Obstetrics and Gynaecology is about supporting women through some of the most important and vulnerable moments in their lives. She feels privileged to care for women during both the happiest times, as well as when they may be experiencing significant challenges, and values being able to guide patients with compassion, empathy, and understanding throughout their journey.

Siming is known for her calm, warm, and approachable nature, taking the time to ensure her patients feel heard, informed, and supported every step of the way. She is passionate about providing personalised, evidence-based care and believes in building genuine and trusting relationships with her patients and their families.

Originally born in TianJin, Siming moved to Melbourne during primary school and is proud to care for Melbourne’s diverse community. She completed her specialist training in Obstetrics and Gynaecology through The Royal Women's Hospital and continues to work there as a Consultant Obstetrician and Gynaecologist. In addition, Dr Siming Lu is the Medical Lead of the Women’s Pregnancy Day Care Centre and also holds the role of Prevocational Training Coordinator. She has experience caring for women across a broad range of obstetric and gynaecological conditions and is committed to supporting women through every stage of life.

Siming enjoys caring for both low and high-risk pregnancies.

She is passionate about empowering patients to feel confident in their healthcare decisions and strives to create a caring and collaborative environment where patients feel comfortable, reassured, and well supported throughout pregnancy, birth, and beyond.

Outside of work, Siming enjoys spending time with her husband and 2 children (who were also born through OGCG), travelling and exploring Melbourne’s food scene!
