About
Dr Stephen Kent is a Gold Coast-based orthopaedic surgeon, who has undergone further training in hand, wrist and microsurgery. He is dedicated to restoring function and helping patients return to the activities that matter most through expert, personalised care.
He completed his orthopaedic training in Queensland, through the Australian Orthopaedic Association (AOA), gaining broad clinical experience across both metropolitan and regional centres in Queensland. He was awarded Fellowship of the Royal Australasian College of Surgeons (FRACS) and went on to complete two post-training fellowships in hand and upper limb surgery.
Dr Kent consults privately at the Mudgeeraba Hand Clinic, providing care to patients from across the Gold Coast, Northern New South Wales and surrounding regions. He takes time to understand each patient’s goals, whether that means returning to sport, work, or day-to-day activities, and tailors each treatment plan to support their recovery and long-term function.
