Dr Stephen Vincent

Stephen is a specialist respiratory and sleep medicine physician who works in both the private and public sector of Cairns and surrounding districts.  He maintains commitment to the health and well-being of patients, education of medical students and doctors, and has been part of the community for 13 years. 

He takes an interest in obstructive lung diseases, such as asthma, COPD and bronchiectasis stemmed from research into these conditions at the Woolcock Institute in Sydney prior to moving to Cairns, also lung cancer, interstitial lung diseases and  occupational lung disease and he is an independent medical examiner for WorkCover Qld. 

His clinical practice in sleep disorders, both in the private and public sector, include the management of sleep disordered breathing, chronic respiratory failure, parasomnias and mental health issues associated with sleep disturbance.
