About
Dr Stergia Avgoulis is a psychiatrist of over 20 years' experience, with subspecialty qualifications in aged care psychiatry. She is a Fellow of the Royal Australian and New Zealand College of Psychiatrists and an accredited member of both the Faculties of Psychiatry of Old Age and Adult Psychiatry.
Dr Avgoulis provides assessment and treatment of mood disorders, anxiety disorders, psychoses, grief/bereavement and cognitive disorders. She works with the general adult population (18-65 years old) and older persons' population (65+ years old). Dr Avgoulis also works with families in their carer roles and can provide family therapy. She is bilingual and can provide consultations in the Greek language.
Dr Avgoulis sees patients at her private practice in the Ground Floor Consulting Suites of North Shore Private Hospital. Dr Avgoulis has incorporated telepsychiatry into her practice and is able to provide videoconference consultations, after an initial assessment in the Consulting Suites.
