About
Dr Subash Balakrishnan is an Australian-trained Orthopaedic Surgeon specialising in upper limb conditions and trauma surgery, with over 15 years’ experience across Australia and internationally.
He completed his medical and orthopaedic training in India before relocating to Australia in 2011, working in major hospitals across Sydney, Melbourne and Brisbane. Dr Balakrishnan completed the Australian Orthopaedic Association (AOA) Training Program in Queensland and was awarded FRACS (Orthopaedics).
He has undertaken advanced AOA-accredited fellowships in Upper Limb Surgery (Melbourne), Paediatric & Neuromuscular Orthopaedics (Westmead), and Complex Trauma (Princess Alexandra Hospital, Brisbane).
Dr Balakrishnan is known for his compassionate, patient-centred approach and strong communication, providing high-quality orthopaedic care to both metropolitan and regional communities.
