Dr Suheb Ahmed

Waverley Private Hospital would like to introduce Dr Suheb Ahmed, an ophthalmologist who completed his undergraduate and specialist training in Scotland.

Suheb has a particular interest in cataract surgery and pterygium management. He offers the latest in cataract surgery techniques and the latest in intraocular lenses. He also offer the latest in laser procedures and intravitreal injections.

 

Suheb offers to suitable patients:
• No needle anaesthesia if required
• No Pain – Numbing anaesthetic drops
• No Sutures

 

Suheb is committed to public service and is the head of department at Northern Health, a major health provider in Melbourne. He teaches medical and optometry students with the University of Melbourne. He also trains the next generation of eye surgeons at the Royal Victorian Eye and Ear Hospital.

 

He is passionate about improving access to care both in Australia and in the developing world. He has introduced and expanded numerous services around Victoria and is working on not-for-profit projects further afield.
