Dr SV Soundappan

Dr Soundappan is a General Paediatric Surgeon. He is Head of Trauma at The Children's Hospital at Westmead. Dr Soundappan completed his undergraduate training from Madras Medical College, India in 1989. He completed his Paediatric Surgery training from The Institute of Child Health, Chennai in 1996 and moved to Sydney in 2002.

Dr Soundappan obtained fellowship in Paediatric Surgery from Royal Australasian College of Surgeons in 2008. He is also Senior Lecturer in Paediatric Surgery at The University of Sydney.

Dr Soundappan’s main areas of interest are General Paediatric Surgery including minimally invasive surgery, Trauma care in Children, Colorectal surgery- Anorectal anomalies and Hirschsprung's disease, Hypospadias surgery, Neonatal surgery and Ultrasound in Paediatric Surgery.
