Dr Tamer Mettyas

After completing his speciality Orthopaedic training in Queensland in 2021, he was awarded the fellowship from the Royal Australasian College of Surgeons.  Dr Mettyas then undertook further advanced training in hand, wrist & microsurgery at Macquarie University Hospital, Sydney in 2021.  This was followed by another subspecialty upper limb fellowship training in shoulder, elbow & hand surgery at the Princess Alexandra Hospital in Brisbane.

Dr Mettyas has gained his surgical experience through many years of work across three different countries.  Dr Mettyas consults and operates privately at North West Private Hospital and Greenslopes Private Hospital.

His public appointments are at Princess Alexandra Hospital, Redland Hospital and Ipswich Hospital.

Dr Mettyas is passionate about treating his patients with upper limb conditions and injuries with the focus of his practice on shoulder, elbow, wrist and hand surgery including open and arthroscopic procedures.  He deeply values his patients and is dedicated to working closely with them to ensure their surgical needs are  top priority.
