Dr Terence Alexander

After serving 2 years as a Lieutenant in the military, Dr Alexander was then selected and completed a fellowship of Oral and Maxillofacial surgery in South Africa. He then graduated in 1997 with a master’s degree in Oral Maxillofacial surgery from the University of the Witwatersrand, where he was awarded a medal for the most outstanding candidate in the final fellowship examination from the South African Society of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeons. This training and experience allowed him extensive exposure to the treatment of gunshot and severe maxillofacial injuries, advanced oral pathology, reconstructive, oral and orthognathic surgery along with dental implantology.
In the year 2000, Dr Alexander became head of the Orthognathic surgery unit in Johannesburg Hospital. Thereafter he and his wife, along with their three sons moved to Australia in 2008 where he runs his own private practice in Brisbane. Dr Alexander regularly attends local and international seminars and courses whilst he continues to lecture at both the University of Queensland and Griffith University.
