Dr Thomas Butler

Tom is a graduate of the University of Queensland and has an interest in cardiac imaging, including echocardiography, and stress testing as well as CT coronary angiography and Calcium scoring for risk assessment.  He is passionate about preventative cardiology and wants to help people better understand their cardiac risk status.  He believes non invasive imaging and traditional risk markers are essential in managing patients prior to them experiencing an acute cardiac event. 

He is experienced in diagnosis and treatment of patients with the spectrum of cardiac disease including hypertension, lipid management, acute coronary syndromes, atrial fibrillation, valvular heart disease, inherited cardiac disease and heart failure.

He is based at John Flynn Hospital and is accepting referrals from patients living in Queensland and Northern NSW.  He looks forward to working with other medical professionals to achieve the best quality of health outcomes for patients.
