Dr Thomas (Tom) Kite

Dr Tom Kite is a specialist cardiologist with an interest in interventional cardiology and diagnosis and management of a broad range of cardiovascular conditions, including coronary artery disease, valvular heart disease, heart failure, arrhythmias, and hypertension. He is committed to delivering personalised, evidence-based cardiovascular care, combining the latest medical advances with a patient-centred approach.

Dr Kite completed specialist training in cardiology in the UK before undertaking a prestigious British Cardiovascular Intervention Society fellowship at Flinders Medical Centre in Adelaide, with a focus on complex coronary and structural intervention. During his PhD research, Dr Kite investigated timing of coronary angiography in non-ST elevation myocardial infarction and led large multicentre randomised controlled trial and registry studies, resulting in numerous high impact publications that have changed international guidelines and influenced practice patterns.

Dr Kite performs coronary angiography and percutaneous coronary intervention (PCI), including treatment of complex coronary disease with advanced calcium modification techniques. He has a particular interest in structural heart interventions, including transcatheter aortic valve implantation (TAVI) and patent foramen ovale (PFO) closure.

Dr Kite consults on all aspects of general and interventional cardiology and welcomes referrals for the assessment and management of cardiovascular disease.
