Dr Tiana Gooneratne

Clinical Practice:

Dr Gooneratne consults from Joondalup Health Campus to help older adults lead healthier and more satisfying lives. Tiana also consults privately at Glengarry Private Hospital and is part of a  network of key physicians located across the metropolitan area concerned with the diagnosis, treatment and prevention of disease in older people and the problems specific to ageing.

Major categories of impairment that appear in elderly people include immobility, frailty, loss of balance, incontinence, impaired intellect and memory issues, as well as impaired vision and hearing loss

Training & Background:

Tiana graduated from Kempegowda Institute of Medical Sciences in India in 2004 and went on to complete her basic physician training and advanced training in geriatrics at Royal Perth Hospital. Tiana also has experience in palliative care medicine having worked in this field for 12 months.
