Clinical Practice
Mr Trenton Barrett is a Specialist Urological Surgeon based at Hollywood Private Hospital, where he undertakes the majority of his private practice. His practice focuses on male and female functional urology, andrology, and male infertility. Through his work at Perth Urology Clinic, Mr Barrett has streamlined his practice within a collaborative model that allows surgeons to develop defined subspecialty expertise aligned with their interests and skill sets. Mr Barrett performs surgery for erectile dysfunction at Hollywood Private Hospital and aims to provide clear communication and high-quality, patient-centred care. He holds public appointments at King Edward Memorial Hospital for Women and works closely with Fiona Stanley Hospital on complex prosthetic urology and reconstructive cases.
Background and Training
Mr Barrett has a particular subspecialty interest in female urology, andrology, and male infertility. In 2012, he was the second Western Australian trainee to be awarded the prestigious Keith Kirkland Travelling Fellowship by the Urological Society of Australia and New Zealand. He completed a fellowship in Adelaide, followed by a further subspecialty fellowship in andrology and female urology at Leicester General Hospital in the UK. His advanced training includes an observership with the female reconstructive unit at University College Hospital, London, male infertility microsurgery training at Cornell University in New York City, and robotic microsurgical training at the PUR Clinic in Clermont, Florida.
GP Education and Resources
Trent is actively involved in teaching urology trainees and doctors from other specialties. He is available to support general practices with education and updates related to diagnosis, management, and surgical options across his areas of expertise.
