About
Dr Usama Shahid is an Illawarra local who completed his medical training and advanced gynaecology training in Queensland. He undertook a further three years of advanced training in urogynaecology, before returning home to Wollongong to provide dedicated care for women with pelvic floor and bladder conditions.
Dr Shahid’s clinical practice focuses on the assessment and management of pelvic organ prolapse, urinary incontinence, recurrent urinary tract infections, and bladder pain syndrome. His advanced training allows him to offer comprehensive, evidence-based care tailored to each patient, with an emphasis on open communication and thoughtful treatment planning.
Dr Shahid has participated in several overseas volunteer programs providing urogynaecological care to underserved communities through the charity Flourishing Women, where he is a director.
