DR VI NGUYEN

Dr Vi Nguyen studied medicine and graduated with honours at UNSW. After completing her training in gastroenterology and hepatology at Westmead and Liverpool hospitals in Sydney, she spent two years completing a Research Masters examining the gut microbiota in liver disease with University College London and Sydney University. She then completed a clinical fellowship at the prestigious King’s College Hospital in London, United Kingdom.

Dr Vi Nguyen cares for patients as a staff specialist at Royal North Shore Hospital in Sydney, and has admitting rights to both the public and North Shore Private Hospital. She has ongoing interests in all aspects of gut and liver medicine, including viral hepatitis and fatty liver disease, diagnostic and therapeutic endoscopy, bowel cancer screening, gastro-oesophageal reflux, inflammatory bowel disease, and irritable bowel syndrome.

She has authored a number of publications on viral hepatitis, fatty liver disease and general gastroenterology, and has presented her work at both national and international conferences. She is actively involved in teaching and ongoing research in various areas of gut and liver health.
