Clinical practice:
Dr Yang Huang is a Specialist General Surgeon with main focus in oncoplastic breast surgery. He currently holds a public breast surgery consultant position at Sir Charles Gairdner Hospital and operates across various sites including Sir Charles Gairdner Hospital, Osborne Park Hospital and Joondalup Health Campus.
Background and Training
Dr Yang Huang completed his general surgery training in WA and then undertook four years of fellowship in breast cancer surgery in high-volume centres, including Sir Charles Gairdner Hospital in Perth, Peter MacCallum Cancer Centre in Melbourne and Westmead Breast Cancer Institute in Sydney.
Research
Dr Huang is passionate about providing evidence-based, individualised, patient-centred care with a comprehensive multidisciplinary team approach. He has contributed to several peer-reviewed articles and is involved in clinical trials. Dr Huang is actively teaching medical students, junior medical staff, general surgical trainees and BreastSurgANZ fellows. He is a full member of BreastSurgANZ, Breast Cancer Trials Australia and the Australasian Society of Breast Diseases
