About
Dr Yassmin Khadra is a Queensland-trained Consultant Physician specialising in General Medicine and Perioperative Medicine, with advanced training in perioperative medicine through the Chapter of Perioperative Medicine with ANZCA. She cares for adults with acute, chronic and complex medical conditions, including patients with multiple health concerns who may need help with diagnosis, treatment planning and coordination of care.
Dr Khadra supports patients before, during and after surgery. She works closely with surgeons, anaesthetists and general practitioners to identify and manage medical issues before an operation, optimise patients for surgery and support their recovery afterwards.
Dr Khadra consults at the Queensland Group of Specialists suites in Mount Gravatt and provides inpatient care at Greenslopes Private Hospital. She is also a Staff Specialist at the Royal Brisbane and Women’s Hospital, where she manages a broad range of complex medical conditions.
She is a Senior Lecturer at the University of Queensland and is involved in teaching and mentoring medical students and junior doctors.
Dr Khadra takes a patient-centred approach and places strong emphasis on clear communication, coordinated care and ensuring patients and their families understand their treatment and feel supported throughout their care.
Outside of medicine, Dr Khadra enjoys spending time with her young family.
