Dr Yu Hwee Tan

Dr Yu Hwee Tan completed her medical degree at the University of Auckland, New Zealand, in 2008. She underwent specialist training in Obstetrics and Gynaecology in New Zealand, Brisbane and the Gold Coast, completing this in 2018. Subsequent to this, she completed 3 years of sub-specialty training in Urogynaecology in Brisbane, the Gold Coast as well as the Queensland Pelvic Mesh Service. The Queensland Pelvic Mesh Service is a quaternary state-wide multidisciplinary service for the management of complex patients with pelvic mesh complications.

Dr Tan is part of the International Urogynaecology Association (IUGA) Fellows, Trainees and Early Career Professionals Committee, as well as the IUGA Publications Committee. She also regularly provides education for medical students, junior medical staff as well as medical professionals and has presented at international and local conferences. Dr Tan has authored multiple publications in peer reviewed journals.

Having completed her extensive training Dr Tan has commenced her private practice at Greenslopes Private Hospital, where she has joined Prof Judith Goh AO and Dr Hannah Krause AO at Queensland Pelvic Floor Services.

Dr Tan provides conservative, medical and surgical treatment options for pelvic floor conditions including vaginal and laparoscopic (keyhole) surgical options.
