About
Dr Zeb McNamara completed his Dentistry, Medicine and Pharmacy degrees at the University of Queensland. During his university studies he received several accolades including Commonwealth Scholarships, Dean’s commendation for high achievement and the George Christensen Memorial Prize for Oral Surgery.
In 2012 Dr McNamara was selected for specialist training in the Queensland Oral and Maxillofacial surgery program. He completed his training at the Princess Alexandra, Ipswich, Logan, Gold Coast and Royal Brisbane Public Hospitals, culminating in passing his fellowship exams in 2016. Throughout his career Dr McNamara has had a keen interest in research, and has presented and published research both nationally and internationally. In 2018 he was nominated and selected to become the President of the QLD ANZAOMS Oral and Maxillofacial Society.
Dedicated to teaching Dr McNamara has held an associate lecturer position with the University of Queensland since 2010 and was promoted to a senior lecturer position in 2017. Dr McNamara believes that this role allows him the opportunity to guide the next generation of surgeons to the highest standard of patient care.
