Miss Madalena Liu

Waverley Private Hospital would like to introduce Miss Madalena Liu, urologist practising in general urology (male and female) with a subspecialty interest in complex voiding difficulties/incontinence, urodynamics and pelvic reconstructive surgery. 

After completing her advanced urological surgical training in Victoria, she was admitted as a fellow of the Royal Australasian College of Surgeons (FRACS) in 2005. Miss Liu undertook further Uro-oncological training focusing on prostate and bladder cancer at The Prostate Centre at Vancouver General Hospital, University of British Columbia. This was followed by a formal clinical fellowship training in Voiding Dysfunction, Urodynamics and Reconstructive Surgery under at Sunnybrook Health Sciences Centre, University of Toronto. 

Upon her return to Melbourne from post-fellowship training in Canada, she accepted appointments at Monash Health and at various private hospitals located in the eastern and south-eastern areas of Melbourne. She enjoys teaching junior doctors and medical students and is involved with clinical examinations at the College of Surgeons. She is passionate about providing the highest quality service for both male and female patients with bladder and pelvic floor disorders who require her area of expertise. 

Miss Liu is also fluent in the Chinese dialects, Mandarin and Hakka.
