Clinical Practice
Mr David Leong is a General Surgeon with an interest in endocrine surgery and is passionate in the management of all thyroid, parathyroid, adrenal surgical pathology with interests in voice preservation and minimally invasive surgery. He also provides surgical services in the management of hernias and gallbladder pathology. Mr Leong is actively involved in research having completed a Masters in Epidemiology and has presented and published multiple peer reviewed articles during his career. He is currently involved in ongoing research looking to improve outcomes for patients with thyroid disease.
Background & Training
Mr David Leong completed his training in general surgery in 2018. He then spent a further 3 years gaining extensive experience in all aspects of thyroid, parathyroid, paraganglioma and adrenal surgery through post fellowship Endocrine Surgery training at Sir Charles Gairdner Hospital in Western Australia, The Austin in Victoria and finally as the T.S Reeve fellow at the Royal North Shore Hospital in New South Wales.
