About
David is a fully qualified Plastic and Reconstructive Surgeon with an interest in hand and wrist surgery
Since qualifying in 2000, David has completed extensive surgical and specialist training both in Australia, and subsequently overseas. David held registrar positions in Melbourne’s leading Plastic Surgery units, including The Royal Melbourne, St Vincent’s, The Alfred, The Royal Children’s, Victorian Plastic Surgery Unit and Monash Health. He holds a Masters of Surgery, and the FRACS (plast.).
David undertook further hand and wrist training over two years in the UK and Europe, visiting and training under some of the worlds pre-eminent Orthopaedic and Plastic Surgical experts in advanced hand and wrist surgery. David is therefore one of only very few Plastic Surgeons in Australia able to treat all hand and wrist conditions.
He is an active Fellow of the Royal Australasian College of Surgeons, and a member of the Australian Society of Plastic Surgeons, and The Australian Hand Surgery Society.
David holds public appointments at Peninsula Health and Monash Health.
