About
Mr Abbas is a registered surgeon who provides personalised, patient-centred care. He understands that surgery is a significant decision and takes time to ensure patients are well informed and supported throughout their surgical journey, from consultation through to post-operative care.
Mr Abbas is committed to achieving safe and appropriate outcomes and works closely with patients to support their individual health goals. His approach combines clear communication with careful attention to each patient’s needs.
In addition to his clinical practice, Mr Abbas is involved in medical education. He is a Senior Lecturer at the University of Notre Dame School of Medicine in Sydney, where he contributes to the training of future doctors.
Mr Abbas is a Fellow of the Royal Australasian College of Surgeons (RACS) and holds memberships with the Obesity Surgery Society of Australia & New Zealand, General Surgeons Australia, and the American Society for Metabolic & Bariatric Surgery. He also participates in the Bariatric Surgery Registry as part of his commitment to quality improvement and patient safety.
Outside of work, Mr Abbas enjoys spending time with his family, gardening, and maintaining an active lifestyle.
