Clinical Practice
Dr Zandi is an Orthopaedic Surgeon with a clinical interest in all upper limb conditions, excluding finger fractures and tendon lacerations of the finger. His areas of expertise include shoulder reconstruction and replacement, elbow arthroscopy, and elective hand and wrist conditions. He manages public, private, MVIT, and Workers’ Compensation patients and is currently a no-gap provider with all health funds. Dr Zandi’s interests encompass all upper limb conditions aside from finger fractures and finger tendon lacerations. His specific areas of focus include shoulder reconstruction and replacement, elbow arthroscopy, and a range of elective hand and wrist procedures.
Background & Education
Dr Homan Zandi completed his secondary schooling at Churchlands Senior High School, graduating in 1985. He commenced his medical studies at the University of Western Australia in 1986 and completed his MBBS degree in 1991. His internship was undertaken at Sir Charles Gairdner Hospital, where he progressed to the position of Emergency Department Registrar by his fourth postgraduate year. Dr Zandi then completed six years of Orthopaedic Registrar training, qualifying as an Orthopaedic Surgeon in 2001. To further specialise, he undertook Fellowship training in Melbourne with a focus on upper limb surgery.
Professional Memberships
Dr Zandi holds Fellowship of the Royal Australasian College of Surgeons (FRACS Orthopaedics) and is a Fellow of the Australian Orthopaedic Association. He is also an International Member of the American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons. His additional professional memberships include the Australian Orthopaedic Association (WA Branch) and the Australian Medical Association.
