Mr James Chiu

Waverley Private Hospital would like to introduce Mr James Chiu an orthopaedic surgeon. James is a qualified and fellowship trained Australian orthopaedic surgeon. He has interests in sub-specialties shoulder and knee surgery. He is multi-lingual and able to converse in english, mandarin, cantonese, and shanghainese.

James is a member of the University of Melbourne alumni, having obtained his MBBS in 2001. He subsequently was awarded his fellowship of the Royal Australasian College of Surgeons in 2011.

He has further increased his experience and competency in orthopaedic surgery with international fellowships in North America and France, in the fields of orthopaedic sports medicine reconstruction, upper extremity reconstruction, arthroscopy and arthroplasty. Whilst in North America, James was one of the team physicians for the National Hockey League teams, Winnipeg Jets, and the Canadian Football League team and Winnipeg Blue Bombers.

Providing excellent patient care and surgical outcomes is of the utmost importance to him.
