Dr. Carsten Ritter is a Vascular Surgeon based in Perth who is known for his comprehensive care and warm, patient-centred approach. He takes the time to support patients through the experience of surgery. Fluent in both English and German, Dr. Ritter is an internationally trained vascular surgeon with over 20 years of experience.
Dr Ritter manages all aspects of vascular disease, including venous and arterial pathologies, and provides state-of-the-art treatment. He prioritises high-end, minimally invasive techniques whenever possible, resorting to open surgery only when necessary.
Dr. Ritter is skilled in both open and endovascular surgery, allowing him to tailor surgical management to each patient’s specific needs. While he treats all aspects of vascular disease, he has a particular focus on advanced, minimally invasive techniques for peripheral vascular and aneurysmal disease. These techniques are especially beneficial for complex patients with advanced diabetic complications.
Dr. Ritter also has a special interest in complex interventions in the leg and offers minimally invasive management for patients with varicose veins whenever possible.
