Mr Mark Barit

Mark trained in both medicine and dentistry through Melbourne University and completed his speciality training in Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery in 2009. Mark has spent time abroad in the UK (Liverpool) gaining further experience and currently works in private practice whilst also being a consultant Oral & Maxillofacial Surgeon at Austin Health.

Mark is actively involved with the training of dental and medical students as well as the future generations of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeons.  He is the past secretary for the Regional Surgical Committee of Oral & Maxillofacial Surgery (Vic) and for the Australian & New Zealand Association of Oral & Maxillofacial Surgeons (Vic).

Marks sub-specialist interests are orthognathic (jaw) surgery, implantology, bone grafting, dentoalveolar surgery and facial trauma. He has a keen interest in 3D surgical planning to improve accuracy and outcomes for his patients.

Outside of work Mark is a keen tennis player and gardener and enjoys spending time with his family.
