Mr Michael Issac

Mr Issac is a General Surgeon with interests in breast and endocrine surgery. His aim is to provide his patients with the level of care that I expect my own family to receive. Mr Issac has been a consultant surgeon since 2009 and has worked in Victoria, NSW and Queensland in this capacity before settling in Victoria in 2011.

 

He currently holds the position of Head of Surgical Unit 2 at Northern Health.

 

Michael's surgical training started in 2001 as a basic surgical trainee through the Royal Melbourne Hospital (RMH). He then completed Advanced surgical training in NSW through Prince of Wales Hospital (POWH) from 2004 to 2007. His Post-fellowship training (2008-2011) was undertaken at Liverpool Hospital (NSW), Princess Alexandra Hospital (QLD) and St Vincent’s Hospital (VIC).

 

Field of Practice:

• Breast surgery – Cancer surgery including oncoplastics, Benign breast disease
• Endocrine surgery – Thyroid. Parathyroid
• General surgery – Hernias, Emergencies (appendix, gall bladder, bowel), Circumcision, Vasectomy, Lumps & bumps, Skin lesions
• Endoscopy – Gastroscopy & Colonoscopy
