Mr Murray Blythe

Clinical Practice:

Mr Blythe is a fellowship trained Orthopaedic Surgeon with a primary focus on total hip replacements using the MAKO robot with DAA, total  knee replacements, revision of failed replacements, foot and ankle surgery, hip and knee arthroplasty. He currently consults at both Joondalup and Hollywood Private Hospitals.

 

Murray provides indiviualised care with a friendly and approachable manner. Importance is placed on establishing a strong doctor-patient partnership. He ensures patients understand their treatment options, whether surgical or not, including the potential impact on their activities of daily living, quality of life and sporting activities. He has excellent clinical reasoning and surgical skills backed by extensive experience to achieve the most optimal results possible. His primary focus are in total hip replacements using the MAKO robot with DAA, total knee replacements, revision of failed replacements, foot and ankle surgery, hip and knee arthroplasty.

 

Background and Training:

Murray was born and raised in Perth and studied medicine at the University of Western Australia. His internship and resident years were at Sir Charles Gairdner Hospital, Alice Springs Hospital and Dunedin Hospital in New Zealand. His orthopaedic training was in Western Australia through the Australian Orthopaedic Association which he completed in 2011.

• Royal North Shore Hospital, Sydney, Australia – Foot and ankle surgery

 

QUALIFICATONS:
Dr Blythe holds professional memberships for Royal Australasian College of Surgeons, Australian Orthopaedic Association, Australian Medical Association, Australian Orthopaedic Foot & Ankle Society and the West Australian Orthopaedic Foot & Ankle Society.
