Mr Piet Rogers is an Orthopaedic Surgeon specialising in hip and knee surgery, as well as adult trauma. He provides patient-centred care with individually tailored treatment plans, offering both operative and non-operative options based on each patient’s needs, goals and lifestyle. He utilises contemporary, evidence-based surgical techniques, including robotic-assisted and minimally invasive procedures. Piet consults at The Orthopaedic Group, where patients benefit from convenient access to imaging and allied health services. His team provides streamlined coordination for country patients, including imaging facilitation and telehealth appointments. In addition to his private practice at Hollywood Private Hospital Mr Rogers holds a public appointment at Sir Charles Gairdner Hospital and Osborne Park Hospital
Background & Training
Born and raised in the South-West of Western Australia, Mr Rogers completed his medical degree at the University of Western Australia. Early in his medical training, he developed a strong interest in orthopaedics, completing an elective with Perth Orthopaedic Surgeon Dr Peter Annear. After completing his orthopaedic training, Mr Rogers worked in Bunbury before undertaking extensive subspecialty training across Brisbane, Canberra and internationally. His advanced training includes:
- Fellowship in primary and revision arthroplasty & robotic surgery - Professor Ross Crawford – Prince Charles Hospital & St Vincent’s Hospital Northside (Brisbane)
- Fellowship in pelvic & acetabular trauma - Mr Rohan Brunello & Mr Jerry Van Der Pol – Royal Brisbane and Women’s Hospital
- Complex hip and knee arthroplasty & pelvic trauma training - Professor Paul Smith – Canberra
- Hip arthroscopy & hip preservation surgery - Dr Al Burns – Canberra
