Waverley Private Hospital would like to introduce Mr Ravi Dissanayake is an Australian trained Orthopaedic Surgeon with an interest in surgery of the hip, knee and trauma. Ravi graduated with first class honours from the Faculty of Medicine at Monash University in 2010. Following his surgical residency, he underwent Orthopaedic training with the Australian Orthopaedic Association in various sites across Victoria and Tasmania. Following this, Ravi completed a Fellowship in complex and revision hip and knee arthroplasty and trauma surgery in Melbourne.
Ravi prides himself in providing a high level of evidence based and patient centred care to ensure optimal outcomes for his patients. His particular areas of interest include robotic hip and knee replacements, revision hip and knee replacement surgery and all aspects of orthopaedic trauma surgery.
Ravi holds public appointments at Monash Health and Bass Coast Health. He is the clinical lead of Orthopaedic trauma at Dandenong Hospital and participates regularly on the oncall roster. He is involved in regular outreach visits to Vietnam with the team at Monash Health. He is actively involved in training the next generation of Orthopaedic Surgeons and is a trainee supervisor with the Australian Orthopaedic Association.
