Mr Timothy Chung

Mr Timothy Chung is an Australian trained orthopaedic surgeon with additional international sub-specialist training in surgery of the shoulder and elbow. He has experience in arthroscopic surgery, joint replacement and trauma surgery. He also works as a consultant orthopaedic surgeon at Monash Health.

Alongside clinical work, Tim has a commitment to research and evidencebased practice of which he has published in peer review journals and presented at international conferences. He also has a keen interest in teaching and is involved with training registrars and junior doctors at Monash Health.

Tim is committed to tailoring a personalised care plan for each of his patients and exploring all operative and non-operative treatment options. He believes in working collaboratively with allied health services, including physiotherapy, to deliver holistic care in partnership with the referring GP.

Tim graduated with honours from Monash University and completed orthopaedic training through the Royal Australasian College of Surgeons and the Australian Orthopaedic Association in Victoria. He then trained overseas in advanced shoulder and elbow techniques, working at St Mary’s Hospital in London, visiting UK elbow centres, and completing a fellowship in France with the President of the European Society for Shoulder and Elbow Surgery.
