About

Dr Nisha Jagasia is a gynaecological oncologist providing surgical and clinical care for women with gynaecological cancers. Her practice is dedicated to evidence-based approaches for treating both malignant and complex benign gynaecological conditions, always delivered with compassion and a strong commitment to patient-centred care.

Dr Jagasia became a Fellow of the Royal Australian and New Zealand College of Obstetricians and Gynaecologists (FRANZCOG) in 2012. She subsequently completed advanced gynaecological laparoscopic training at Mercy Hospital for Women and a three-year Gynaecological Oncology sub-specialisation in Melbourne and Brisbane, finishing in 2016. Her credentials also include a fellowship in General and Colorectal Surgery, a Graduate Diploma in Palliative Care from Flinders University, and a Fellowship at the National Peritoneal Malignancy Institute Dublin in 2019, where she specialised in cytoreductive surgery and HIPEC for colorectal, appendiceal, and gynaecological cancers.

Dr Jagasia has developed expertise across the full spectrum of gynaecological cancer surgery, from complex radical abdominal procedures
to advanced minimally invasive surgery using both laparoscopic and robotic techniques. She is committed to offering the best approach for each patient’s individual circumstances, with the aim of optimising oncological outcomes and quality of recovery. Dr Jagasia holds a Senior Lecturer appointment at The University of Queensland. She is a member of the Queensland Centre for Gynaecological Cancer Research (QCGC) and has published in peer-reviewed journals on research in sentinel lymph node assessment in endometrial cancer and ovarian cancer surgery.
