Dr. Gabriel Lee is a Neurosurgeon who offers services for general neurosurgical procedures, with a particular emphasis on brain tumors (including lesions in the eloquent cortex), pituitary tumors, epilepsy surgery, spinal tumors, and complex spinal conditions. His private practice is based at Hollywood Private Hospital, where he consults with patients, and he also holds a public appointment at Sir Charles Gairdner Hospital.

 

Educational Background & Training

Dr. Gabriel Lee earned his MBBS with Honors before completing his neurosurgery training in Adelaide and Perth. Following this, he pursued advanced training through two sub-specialty fellowships. He dedicated two years to a Complex Spine Fellowship at Toronto Western Hospital in Canada, followed by an Epilepsy/Brain Tumor Fellowship at Yale University in the United States. Dr. Lee returned to Western Australia in 2006, bringing with him a wealth of international expertise.

 

Teaching and Research

Dr. Gabriel Lee is not only a skilled practitioner but also a dedicated academic and researcher, continually contributing to the field of neurosurgery. He is known for his extensive contributions to teaching and research and boasts a significant publication record. His commitment to advancing neurosurgical knowledge is evident in his recent service on the Board of the Neurosurgical Society of Australasia, where he dedicated five years before stepping down.
